To start this moodoard, I stuck a few of my found images from my Pinterest account (My Pinterest Account) onto my board, and drew over the top of some, paying attention to the designs and patterns on the images that i have included. I extended some of the images by continuing the design further onto the page. This turned out really well as I could really focus on getting the colours right and I could practice my drawing skills with 3D effects.
Once I had done this and was happy with how my drawings looked, I began to add my own drawings to fill up more space. Instead of using pencils or watercolour paints, I chose to use Sharpie Markers. I decided to use these as a medium as a lot of designers use these as mediums when sketching initial ideas and I wanted to try this myself. Because I was using Sharpies, I chose to make my sketches themselves very rough, as if they have just been sketched up really quickly to show an idea. The designs that I drew were of images that I found on my Pinterest account, they looked 'futuristic' and I really liked the design of them, hence why I included them into this moodboard.
To finish off this moodboard, I added some more found imagery, and added colour to the background. This was to fill up some spaces but not take away the attention from the parts that I liked and wanted to be the main parts of this board. To add colour, I used watercolour paints as a light wash, and glued on pieces of tissue paper to add more texture to the page as a whole. I thought that this was a good idea as the moodboard didn't look as if I hadn't finished it, and it provided just a little extra bit of colour.
Overall, I am very pleased with how this moodboard has turned out, I have done exactly what I wanted to do, and that was to explore the drawing aspect of this project a little bit more than I previously had. This moodboard is a good start to this project, it is bright, eye-catching and very detailed which I liked. Despite this, I feel like I could work into my drawings a little bit more, some of the parts that I used coloured pencils on look a little bit weak compared to other parts of the drawings.
