Chair Project - A2 Model Development

After doing all of the pages in my sketchbook for the 5 models, I thought that it wasn't really obvious how each model developed from the next. To overcome this, I decided to put them onto an A2 board and physically show the development. I printed off the photographs of the models once again and stuck them carefully onto the sheet. I stuck them in a way so that they lead from one to the other in order that I made them.
Once I had done this, I wrote how each model inspired the next, and how they were developed, including arrows literally pointing from one design to the next. I felt like the background of this sheet was too plain, so I painted splatters of a washed watercolour paint, so they were light, and drew aspects of each design, such as circles and squares etc. in the same coloured pencil. I really liked this outcome as the background didn't take from the images and the writing, it was distracting and with the use of the same colour made it look calm in a way as there wasn't too much going on.

I am really happy with how this page turned out, the background looks a lot better than I expected it to, and the page itself does as I wanted it to, which was to literally show how one design developed from the previous one. I don't think that there is anything I could improve on for this page as I am really impressed at how it turned out and it does exactly as I wanted.
